07/01/07 - RESOLVENT
Happy New Year boys and girls, I hope you had as much filthy, intoxicated fun as I did. My dulled brain still hasn't acknowledged that it is now 2007. Time is definitely going by faster now that I've hit the big 2-0. Surely a good first sign that you've progressed past the "Wow there's hair on my hoo-hoo" stage of adolescence and into the bittersweet era of adulthood. A year no longer feels like a lifetime, but did my ass always look like that?
I've never been one for New Years resolutions, because I stop caring about 30 seconds after I make them, but... I feel like this next year is going to be quite a turning point in my life. At least it better be. Moebius and I are about to move out into the big, bad world on our own, to places where we know (virtually) nobody and have no family to bail us out if and when the poop hits. Our life and relationship has been absolutely blissful for the last couple of months, so I want this change to go as smooth as butter and, if possible, for us to come out of it even happier and more stable.
An international move should be the perfect catalyst for change. We’ll be in a completely new environment where no one knows us at all. We could pretend to be friendly, I could pretend my name is actually Cherry Torn, and Moebius could put on a Scottish accent or something and no one would know the difference. I’ve been seriously considering “becoming” Cherry, at least in social situations, fetish clubs in particular. You never know who you’re talking to.
I like myself more with every passing month, I couldn't be happier to be over my black, shy flower stage (for those who don't know, as little as 2 years ago I was quite the monochromatic, petrified kitten), although... There are still certain habits I really need to kick. For instance, I am Miss Halfway. Sometimes I'm organized; emails arranged in dozens of folders, detailed spreadsheets to track our income, all necessary immigration forms printed and neatly arranged. Office supplies and administrative tasks make me cream my knickers. I just can't seem to take the final fucking step to finish whatever IT happens to be today. I have 3 questions left on the forms, research to do about San Francisco, dates to set for upcoming shoots, and about 10 other tasks that are 90% finished. This year I will do my best to finish what I start without faffing about for weeks.
I also want to break out of my need for routine, especially when it comes to sex. I may be a dirty bitch, but I'm so anal about my schedule spontenaity often suffers. Moebius and I tend to do the dirty before we go to sleep, and that apparently leads the anal-color-coding part of me to believe that's the time when we're supposed to do it. When the notion presents itself at some other time of day it's hard for me to get in the mood. Not to mention after doing 10 webcam shows involving ramming toys in and out of my holes I'm not always as up for the fleshy version as I'd like to be. I can be forced to enjoy it, but that translates into a lot of effort on his part, and a lack of on mine. This is a shit habit I really need to sort out.
Next, Stability. My brother-in-law gave me a little redneck sermon last time I was home about how he wants to see me have the same address for more than a year. I rolled my eyes at the time, but now I'm itching for it. I'm tired of saving undeterminable amounts of money for plane tickets and security deposits. I want a nice flat in a nice place. I want to make a home with matching dishes, curtains, furniture, and all that domesticated bollocks. I love that shit, and I've been transient for too long. And I never want to have housemates again. CHERRY TORN, THIS SHIT IS IN WRITING. NO MORE HOUSEMATES!
Those are my main goals for the year. Work hard and play hard (if you'll excuse the cliche). So far things seem to be going my way - January is going to be a very busy month... My first shoot was with Phantombondage. Getting to the shoot was no small thing as the train ride alone took 7 hours. The webmaster had been teasing me with the idea of a rope bondage ponygirl scene which (I hope) turned out nice. This shoot was arguably my first real attempt at "glamour bondage”, so with some luck I won't come out looking fucked and travel-worn.
My next shoot is a schoolgirl-caning-piss sort of job, and plans are also being made for the next X-models production. I've heard rumors that I will be working with Louise Hunter again and maybe someone else - it must be said, though, that I rarely know what's happening until I get there... So please don't hold it against me if I'm wrong.
The mammoth Germany trip we were planning became too mammoth, and we've decided to split it into 2. First part: Bremen, visiting L-A-Tex and Rope Affairs. I'm coming to terms with the idea that arranging a collection of shoots is (even at the best of times) part intrigue, part guesswork and part frustration. Who will pay for which nights in what hotel? Can we even trust these people? Is this guy insane, or does he just lose a little in translation? I'm starting to admire all those chicks that do this day in and out more than ever before...
I'll leave you with a flashback to the pre-fringe me being useful and cleaning up my spillage:
