Keeping my laziness affliction in mind, I've been trying to pick which classes I want to take next semester. It's not easy to decide what you're going to be doing with your life for the next 5 months, especially when you don't have a specific goal in mind, but I've actually come to a conclusion about that.
I can't make a decision about a major without actually trying the options I've narrowed it down to. Web development is what I have experience with, so it's the most logical place to start. Concentrating on just web development only gets me a certificate, but it's not much more to finish the computer networking & and information technology degree.
It's not cut and dried though. Furthering my website coding skills will be very useful to us and I already spend most of my life on a computer. But it's tedious, often boring and competitive. Honestly, I seem to handle tedious pretty well, I'm a whiz at data entry, but competitve doesn't suit my personality at all.
The real clincher is that I can take most of the program online. Saves spending 10 hours a week going to class on campus. I love how cheap city college is, I will feel no money guilt if at the end of these classes I decide they aren't for me.
There! It's done, the decision is made. I also decided what the Mister and I will be doing for Christmas. We'll be back in the Deep South eating and drinking until our eyeballs pop out.
Christmas is always my longest trip back home since it's never a good money making period, or a good period for work ethic. Unfortunately my final exam isn't until Dec. 17th, so I've had to choose between hanging out with my parents and being back in SF for New Year's Eve. Boo. I picked my parents, so I hope the NYE parties suck this year. Even though Mister Torn will be coming back in time to be at one. X¬D
